Theft
Like a number of other offences, allegations of theft can range from very minor to extremely serious depending on the amount of money/property that has been stolen. Theft and fraud matters are often closely linked and there are a number of members of our team who have very specific experience in these types of cases.
According to Section 1 Theft Act 1968, you could be found guilty of theft if you permanently take someone else’s property and intentionally acted dishonestly in order to achieve this. Theft can therefore be a complicated area of law as it is not limited to one specific act – it can be committed in a variety of ways.
All elements of the charge must be proven by the CPS in order for you to be guilty of the offence. We can guide you through the law and evidence against you.
