Parm is a Director at ZMS and qualified as a solicitor in 1998. Since qualification and prior to founding ZMS in 2003, Parm worked for large criminal defence firms in Birmingham and has personally handled hundreds of serious crime matters including terrorism, double murder and money laundering. He defended in the largest drug cultivation operation ever prosecuted in Europe. This trial took place at the Old Bailey and had 24 defendants and involved criminal activity of over £100 million.

Since 2003 the firm has expanded to the practice that it is today, the largest provider of criminal defence work in Leicestershire, with 17 duty solicitors.
