Interview Under Caution
These take place when the police want to talk to you about an allegation that has been made by someone, or evidence has come to light which suggests that you have committed a criminal offence. An Interview Under Caution can take place when you are under arrest, or the police contact you to arrange for an interview to take place on a voluntary basis. Both types of interviews take place under caution. This means anything you say forms part of the evidence in your case and is a very important stage of your journey though the criminal justice system. For either type of interview you are entitled to free and independent legal advice. Please get in contact with us as we can help. For DWP interviews the funding is less straight forward but please do call us and we can go through your options with you.
