Ellie Ingleton Crown Court Caseworker
Ellie graduated from University of Liverpool with a degree in Criminology in 2021. Having gained valuable experience through placements at a number of respected law firms in Leicester, Ellie joined the team at ZMS Solicitors, attracted by their excellence in criminal defence law.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to start a career focused on criminal defence law at ZMS Solicitors,” says Ellie. “The team here are specialists, and I am grateful to be working with the best in this field.”
Ellie initially joined the firm as a Paralegal in the Magistrates’ Court Department. During this time, she undertook a wide range of responsibilities, gaining valuable hands-on experience in criminal case preparation and client support. In November 2022, Ellie qualified as an accredited Police Station Representative, enabling her to represent and advise clients at the police station.
She later progressed to the Crown Court Department, specialising in casework for clients charged with serious offences on indictment. After relocating to Manchester and continuing her work in criminal law there, Ellie returned to the firm in August 2025 to commence her training as a solicitor, alongside continuing her role as a Crown Court Caseworker and Police Station Representative.
Ellie is currently studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE) and intends to qualify as a solicitor in 2027. With a thirst for knowledge, attention to detail, and outstanding organisational and communication skills, she adds great value to all the cases she is involved with.
